Anyone know about King & Country GLOSSY Rough Riders. I purchased these recently from a collector who moved on to another collection. I have SIX marching with box ; bare metal base . I have TWO mounted Rough Riders with box and one Teddy , all with bare metal base. The marching and mounted are marked K&C on base. Any help with values would be appreciated...Thanks What year were they produced. I may list them on ebay. I have no real interest in this series.

This may be a Louis question but some of the later Rough Riders series were in matte. I have a brochure and they seem matte. However, I know that in the early 90s Andy also did some Rough Riders. There was a Rough Riders of Teddy Roosevelt with two marching soldiers. It might be helpful if you could post photos. Alternatively, you could send them to me at blewin2222@aol.com and I could post them.

I believe for a time they were an exclusive to Kings X in San Antonio, the shop Andy just purchased. I got a couple of the gloss marching just to check it out. Seem nice but not a lot of variety, one marching foot pose and several riding poses with different items, one rifle and several different flag bearers. Then there is also T. Roosevelt. They also had an exclusive line of Alamo glossy figs as well which I understand andy is going to start a new line of as a tie in for the new store. I went to the Kings X site and they still have one of the gloss Alamo figs available.

I have to run (lot of honey dos: honey do this, honey do that :D ). What Showman has is the 1993 Roosevelt set that Ray described which was exclusive to Kings X. However, there is one figure I can't id. I'll post the photos later.

Here are Showman's pictures, one at a time.

Regarding the above Rough Rider, Louis has just told me that he was released around 1996 and was sold in either glossy or matte.

They look really nice. I know this will make some of you cringe but do you think K&C would ever consider doing a series in gloss again?

K&C still does the Streets of Old Hong Kong series in gloss.:)

I had some in gloss and some in matte. The gloss would probably have a certain charm for certain parade ground sets but it didn't really work for the Rough Riders:
