Hi,
Does anyone have any information on GM Miniature toy soldiers? I've tried to Google them but nothing comes up.
Thanks
Paul

Funny that you are looking for these figures.....

Like you I was looking only a couple of weeks back !!!!

What I found was an old web page with this on it : Dear Friends, I´d like to introduce myself. My name is Gabriel Martínez and I am the owner of GM Miniatures, a new line of 60 mm metal collectible figures made in Buenos Aires, Argentina. My figures are fully compatible with those in the same scale from other manufacturers. The first figures of my line are soldiers from the Napoleonic Wars, specifically from the Prussian and Belgium armies, enemies of Napoleon. I am expanding production according to clients’ requests and market trends.

This is the site: http://gm-miniatures.blogspot.com/

The reason I was looking for it was that i was given 4 Napoleonic figures from this company. They had survived a house fire hence that colouring here:

I did a repaint and now they look like this:

gm12a.jpg

They are 3 x Prussians and a Belgian all from the Battle of Waterloo.

Nice figures???

I hope this helps,

John

Hi John,
Thanks for the information. It's much appreciated. I just purchased 7 Belgian GM soldiers via eBay. 3 marching, 3 advancing and 1 officer;
They came in weird little wooden boxes with a sliding cover and GM Miniatures written on the front.

Unfortunately the bayonets were bent up in the post and one had a detached arm. I managed to straighten the bayonets and with a little paint retouch they look fine.
The problem I am having is with the loose arm. There is some paint loss and a gap needs to be filled. No problem gluing it back in place but I can't find a colour that matches the blue tunic. When I look up close to the piece the tunic almost has a dark turquoise tint to it.

I love the work you've done on the repairs. Especially the flags bearers. Very nice.

Your right GM soldiers are very nice figures and if I see any more on my travels or on eBay I'm buying them.

Out of interest what shade of blue did you use on the Belgian soldiers tunic?

Thanks again John.

Regards
Paul
