In the most recent issue of the Military History Quarterly there was a small article about the Goliath and its predecessors. The Goliath was a remote controlled demolition vehicle that carried an explosive device in a front bin, capable of causing great damage. It's limitations were its speed (5 to 12 miles per hour) and that it wasn't radio contolled; there was a wire connecting the Goliath to the contol box.

I'm not one who gets normally involved in suggesting "can you please make this" but I think this would be an interesting issue. The Goliath was used in a variety of theatres: North Africa, Normandy and Battle of Bulge so it could be issued in one of these ranges.

Andy? Ana?

I think thats a very good suggestion,it would make an interesting set.I read/saw somewhere that they weren't very reliable and that their wires were prone to being cut by enemy action. There is i think a famous photo of a GI stood on a mountain of these little monsters.Have seen film of them in training and they certainly did pack a powerful punch.

The article makes clear they were prone to being hit because of their slowness but they were apparently very effective, unfortunately, during the Warsaw uprising in 1944.

Maybe you could have a set with a couple of operators and perhaps an NCO with a pair of binocs checking out his target.
