Enjoyed reading the article, particularly so as Bill McDade is a valued friend. We've shared many enjoyable hours at the West Coaster, The Old Toy Soldier Shop, and the now defunct San Diego Toy Soldier Society. Funny, but so many of the legendary collectors such as Bill are men of significant talents and interests. Bill was a Naval Flight Surgeon and later a top-flight surgeon in the San Diego area. In retirement he volunteered to train doctors in emerging countries. Great guy!

Wonderful article, thanks for posting.

At different points throughout the year I purchase toy soldiers for my six year old son. Del Prado, off price Britains and his aunt even bought him a few K&C figures. What I enjoy about this hobby is when he helps me organize my displays, nice father and son time.
