With the announcement of First legion soon being available all across the U.S.A. sounds like good things are coming our way as First Legion collectors!!! I'm sure this move will generate more collectors which inturn allows First Legion the option to make me more WWII stuff:smile2:..ok..and other lines as well:) I know I'm already excited about saving some extra coin from the shipping fees, also we got the Newsletter out any day now, so as the "Cars" use to sing..."let the good times roll"!!!!...Sammy

I'm not so sure about the free shipping thing.
It would be a little bit odd if FL would still charge shipping fees while some resellers wouldn't
let's wait for the newsletter.

I do know there are some dealers on that list that have cheaper shipping then what I have been paying, (not sure about any stores with free shipping) so again it's all good here!!!!...Sammy

It's too early to see if it's a good thing or a bad thing. However, FL is changing their financial model. Companies that change their financial model hardly do so if that model is successful.

I'm hoping this change is coming to open more doors to create a bigger audience for FL. let's hope we're seeing First legion making big moves to compete even more with other companies for a share in the toy soldier world...Sammy

Well, the newsletter is finally here, it mentions larger production runs and more visibility as factors behind having dealerships in North America (in Europe that was already the norm). Can't wait for our hosts' wonderful 3D photos:p. And indeed I bet that this a product Treefrog will love to sell! The newsletter also mentions 4 new ranges coming up next year! Well, the recent releases/per-orders are enough to keep one pretty busy, they are so great! Or to put it another way, enough to make a grown (grown, really?^&grin) man cry:eek:...
Will larger production runs be a good or bad thing? What is your say? In my view as long as the quality standard is up to the wonderful present levels it should be a good thing, perhaps a little more time to get what one wants...^&cool. To me that prevails over items being rare, more valuable when I check out, etc...:D.
Have your say if you'd like (I am sure there will be a lot of saying...:wink2:).
Now, Rome here, the Crusades there and...:cool:

Congrats FL,
Paulo

Hey Paulo-

I was wondering if it was just me or did I read that wrong- 4 MORE RANGES!! Boggles the mind!! I am excited as all get out but that required 1 every 3 months.... that's quite a release schedule!!

Excited about the Romans, but we have almost 2 dozen releases and previews yet seen a couple glimpses of the Barbarians. Am hoping to see some more pics soon.

Regarding the new releases, I am sort of holding my breath to see what FL and TG do.....I am hoping like all get out that FL does Modern- wishful thinking probably but would just be in 7th Heaven if they did these. Now, say they do WW2 ETO- hmmmmm......things get REAL interesting then!! {bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}

I'm sort of clueless obviously as to what is going to happen though I am pumped to see. Here's my WAG for the 4 lines:

1.) AWI- American Bluecoats
2.) Modern US Army/ USMC fighting in Afghanistan;
3.) Barbarians to stem the Roman onslaught;
4.) WW2 ETO

I also read about the 4 new ranges coming next year, well I have been a patient grasshopper and hope that one of those lines is a WWII Western Front, oh at least I can hope anyway:smile2:...Sammy

I collect ACW and romans , my favorite ranges for 2012:

Just to clarify, 3 out of your four WAG's above we would not consider "new ranges". #1, 3, and 4 would merely be additional new releases for existing product ranges. When we say a new "range" is coming, we mean a totally new historical period that we haven't yet covered.

I figured that was probably the case though I didn't want to assume. Suffice to say, you definately have picqued my interest.

Four new lines is amazing .I wish FL all the best and am sure the new distribution system will increase their sales and hopefully profits so they can continue the great figures they are coming out with.Best of luck to FL Mike B.:)
