Has anyone heard what we might have in store from Gordon and the K&C crew in the way of dioramas at the Chicago Show yet?? Any guesses? Probably one to do with whatever the new line is...but what else?

Having seen Gordon's work in person for the first time last year, I don't know what the subjects will be but I can'y wait to see what he has done!

Which diorama (periode/series) is not yet in the superbe collection/museum of Louis?

At least one of the new Chicago dio's will find a permantent place overthere.

At least this is what I think about it...

Open for all suggestions

Gordon has raised the bar every year with his dioramas; for me one of the major highlights of the show is walking into Andy's room for the first time and seeing all of the new releases in the works displayed on Gordon's dioramas.

His Hartenstein was superb, but my two all time favorites were the matching Bulge dioramas he did two years ago, one for the American releases and one for the German releases................

I'm kind of partial to that train ambush scene with the resistance fighters... but he could give me any of them:D. Okay, back to reality...

I don't know but what ever it is, its going to be nice.

As usual, it is one of a kind, never to be mass produced, and could predict who would get it. Gordon indeed produced great diorama pieces, but if they are never to be produced what good are they for us? I guess just salivate with lust?

Did you see this dio on the K&C website? Sneak peek of Chicago Dio maybe?

Three words describe that diorama; "Oh My God" comes to mind...........

Gordon's dioramas are works of art, you have to see them in person to truly appreciate them.

That said, no, they are not mass produced, they are available to whomever wants one. At OTSN last year, Hans bought the Hartenstein diorama, and Gordon told me he took orders for I believe two more, so if you wanted one, he'll make it for you. The winter diorama sold to a collector who attended the show, I helped Andy load it into the gentlemans vehicle. There were two other dioramas at the show, Louis had ordered one and the other one (the Crete diorama) to my knowledge did not sell at the show, perhaps afterward.

The buyers are not hand picked, they are available to anyone who wants one and Gordon is willing to reproduce one if you want one.

So if you want one, just contact him and he'll make it for you.

Pretty simple process really.

Thanks. How do I get in touch with Gordon, through the KC Website?

Not a problem, just wanted to be sure you understood the lay of the land regarding who is eligible to buy Gordon's dioramas; basically anyone can.

Yes, you can contact him via the K & C website. He will do essentially anything your heart desires, the master craftsman that he is.........

Sent an e-mail requesting for a quote from one of Gordon's diorama. To date I have no response. I think I may need a "pull" or some kind of a "politcal connection" to the likes of Louie maybe?

You should understand that right now they're getting ready for Chicago and Gordon is probably working feverishly to get the dios ready so you may not get an answer until after the Show. Also, I hope you understand that it will not be cheap and may cost you thousands and thousands of dollars. Some dioramas at recent shows have reportedly gone for close to five figures.

The cost is not an issue. A simple note would have suffice. I guess I'll start looking somewhere.

Thanks

As I mentioned, they're probably very busy getting ready for Chicago. If you give them a little while, I'm sure they will be in touch with you. If you don't hear anything in a few days, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
