When I got home from work today, there were two packages waiting for me from Rick. The first contained some really cool custom Figarti banners to hang in the room with my Figarti products, including two he made of shots his people took of me at the various Figarti luncheons over the years, and a great one with all the "stun and awe" products.

In the other was the prototype of the JS2, which is even better than the production model, along with the wings for the 51st Pursuit Squadron Flying Tiger plane, already signed by Dick Rossi, for Flying Tiger Lenny Glick to sign, and the remaining Polish Bugler figures for Hans, Larry, Mark and myself. Look forward to showing it all off Saturday at the Symposium.

The only thing that wasn't in the box was the disc for the video presentation. Maybe Clive Gande is bringing that?

I just sent Brad 6 photos of the contents of the packages from Rick with a polite request that he post them for me.:)

Here are the photos. Stuff looks great. Super job with the Figarti room. It's got your own personal touch :)

freaking hell louis, you even got your face on the figarti poster:eek:
you're the rock star collector of 1/30:D

louis, just out of my curiosity, what differences are there between the prototype and production JS2.?

The level of detail on the prototype is slightly superior - for example, the tracks are completely independent from the chassis and wheel structure (not connected at the top like on the production model) and it has different markings.

Hi Louis,

Sorry to use the forum for business, but your email account keeps rejecting my emails. I take it that Clive's box of Guards C.C., from me, didn't arrive today? I haven't gotten a delivery confirmation from UPS either. I noticed that their computer leaves the "Harbor" off Roslyn Harbor. Do you think that's a problem that I need to call them about?

Ron

Ron,

A package arrived from you for Clive today. It is sitting in my foyer, waiting for Clive to arrive and inspect it. I can't imagine why your e-mails don't go through. PM me and I will give you my cell phone number and you can call me directly.

Regards,

Louis

Thanks Louis.

Actually this happens frequently. I think that spamblockers have something against me. I tried to find your email to me from a couple of years ago because if I use the reply button to return someone's email, from that point on there is no problem. I'll see if I can figure out the PM thing.

Thanks for the invites to the symposium. It sounds like great fun and I love a good Italian meal. Unfortunately, I just have a hard time getting away.

Yours,

Ron

wow louis, is there any albums that i can view your museum collection?:p

Very amusing, Nasir, old friend. Actually, there are two presently available for sale on www.blurb.com: Toy Soldier Picture Books Volume I, King & Country WWII Glossy to Arnhem Matt and Toy Soldier Picture Books Volume III, King & Country Early Glossy. Both books have literally hundreds of photographs of my collection.

hmm, must write to my Library Committee to get that book.. :p

seriously, i've always enjoy looking at fellow friend's collection, irrespective of the manufacturer or style (gloss/matt)

i get to enjoy the pictures, gets insight into their collecting habits and preferences, and also gets a few ideas on how to properly display my own meager collection.

so i won't mind 6-700 beautiful photos :D
