Hey guys,
For those of you who could actually find us here in our new home, here is the latest on David Cowe.

Got an email this morning from daughter Melinda, who reports that her Dad weathered the operation very well and will hopefully be out of hospital and home by tomorrow.

The recovery period might take a few months before our master sculptor is back on his feet and making art again. Well wishes and warm thoughts are well deserved and here's hoping that the Cowes are all back in top form asap.

So... GREAT NEWS from NZ

Cheers,
Drum

Hey Drum, Thanks for the update. Very glad to hear ! I know the rest of the Imperial fans feel the same way! Please give my well wishes to the Cowes when you get the chance.:D

That is really first rate news. Mr. Cowe is the sort of craftsman most people only read about many, many decades later when the master's work has put on a respectable patina of antiquity. It's a privilege to be watching his output in real time.

Best,

Drew

Another update;

Got an email from the man himself this a.m. and he is home and under the care of his wife and three daughters. I think it might be quite some time before he is back on his feet and in the shop, but I hope he will take all the recovery time that he needs before he starts creating again.

The operation was a bear but Mr. Cowe pulled through with flying colors, just like his 54mm standard bearers.

I will keep you all posted as further events dictate.

Cheers,
Drum

Thanks again. Under the care of that many women... He may want to stay in Hospital
