Anyone have a picture of this? Any details like unit, time period, campaign, etc?

Check out the London Show thread. I believe there is a photo there.

Hi Blowtorch
The grey Tiger is based on (S)23 from the 13th Panzer Regiment 'Grossdeutschland' as she would have appeared in July 1943. Originally GD tanks had an 'S' before the serial number but later on these were painted over.

Summer Tiger well here is the history - 8th Kompanie of the SS Panzer Abteilung of SS Panzer Grenadier Division “Das Reich” was established as a heavy Tiger company in December 1942. The Tigers were originally painted dark grey, but in April 1943 the vehicles were ordered to be overpainted with the new colours of dark yellow, olive green and red brown as they became available. Tiger 842, like many of its stablemates received a spray of yellow and green over the grey.

Tiger 842 and it’s comrades took part in Operation Zitadelle, and the heavy fighting around Kharkov, in Spring 1943, knocking out hundreds of Soviet tanks, anti-tank guns and other vehicles. The 8th Kompanie at this time comprised 10 Tigers and 12 Panzer III Ausf M support tanks which were armed with a short barrelled 75mm gun.

Winter Tiger - Tiger 411, 4th [later 9th] Kompanie SS Panzer Division “Totenkopf”, Russia 1943. Tiger 411 is pictured in a whitewashed grey paint scheme, in February 1943 in the Kharkov region. The 4th Kompanie [later designated the 9th] of the 3rd SS Panzer Division “Totenkopf” were troubleshooters, and during Operation Zitadelle in the summer of 1943 only lost one of it’s 15 Tigers to enemy fire; the crew managing to escape. This was not to last however, as the Kompanie lost all 30 of it’s initial issue of Tigers to enemy fire or through the crews sabotaging their tank to prevent capture.

I think you all know the history behind the 'Desert version' so I will not bore you with the details. I found all of this very fascinating as we were doing our research for these particular models and I hope you all enjoy the finished product as much I do.
BTW - spelling mistake - Ronnies Marder is from the 'Hohenstaufen' Division - I apologise to all for this grammatical error - I really must touch up on my German!

Regards Blake

New NMA releases

Very impressive new selections!

Does anyone have up close pictures of the new figures, such as the Tiger Tank commander or Marder crew?

Hey Ken,I think Blake said there would soon be some pics on their website.

I love the story of the Tunisian Tiger whose crew bailed out after a shell got lodged in the turret ring, what a way for the Allies to Capture their first Tiger.
