Hi Guys,

It’s a well-known fact that soldiers everywhere and in every historical era had a fairly ‘black’ sense of humour and liked to make fun of themselves... their mates and of course their officers and the politicians who put them so often in harm’s way.

This was particularly obvious during the ‘Vietnam War’ when many of the fighting troops liked to adorn their helmets, vehicles and flak jackets with jokes, messages and even date calendars when the hoped to return to the ‘real world’...

Here’s just a few... Enjoy!

I love the 3rd one with Alfred E Newman ....

that sure brings back memories for me from M.A.D. magazine in the 70's :) :)

Thanks for showing these, and looking forward to seeing those troops,

John

Yep more Grunt Graffti on Flak Jackets and Helmets please Andy !

Here's a couple I've done my version of, I would say copied but my hands aren't steady enough ! And a photo of a Marine/Soldier in his Flak jacket with the graffiti !
