First Legion is pleased to present the initial release for our highly anticipated WWI The Great War figure range with 7 sets of Germans! We know many of you have been eagerly anticipating the launch of this range and here it finally is. The Germans are from the 62nd Infantry Division and have been presented just at the moment when the pre-assault bombardment is over and they are under heavy attack. As such, the overall release of Germans (including the immediate follow up sets in July) is a mix of defending and shell shocked figures along with a mortar and machine gun team. They are meant to complement our upcoming Trench terrain sets and stand fast against attacking British and French at the Somme in 1916. We sincerely hope you enjoy the new figures.

Nice looking grouping of defenders. They are as sharp looking as you would expect from FL. Helmets look right, which isn't the easiest thing to get right. -- Al

Very good looking sets one and all but my favorite is the soldier helping his comrade, a wee-bit jealous as I would love to WWII Paras/SS ranges have a set like this, but one never knows?...Sammy

Lovely looking figures these guys they really are, top work FL. In a preview a while back there was a guy holding back his mate who looked like he was fleeing, will he still be released at a later date perhaps Matt?

This a shot that was on the FL facebook page. I think this is the piece you were referring to. This thing looks amazing.

That looks as good as it gets and shows just what a master can do when they work their magic on the great sculpts produced from First Legion but I think Rob is referring to this picture posted sometime back by Guy of some future releases . regards Gebhard

Please note that these wonderful figures are now finished and will be shipping mid August along with the WWI French, Roman Testudo, and new metal figure kits. We sincerely apologize for the delay! More Germans will follow in September.

Also, to answer the query below, yes that set shown in the custom diorama done for the World Expo will indeed be available in a month or two.

Best,

Matt

I would like to know if the trench sections will be made this year. :salute::

Some of them certainly will (first 3). In total, we have 9 and will produce them 3/3/3. If they prove popular, we could expand upon that.

Best,

Matt

Any update on the shipping date of the German and French figures ? Not that I'm impatience :redface2: but the website does say shipping mid August and it is the 23rd ^&grin Gebhard

Matt told me they were going to ship this past Wednesday, then he emailed me and said there was a slight delay and they'd go out this coming week.

My assumption is they'll arrive at his warehouse and the retail orders will go out, then the wholesale orders, so you'll get yours from him soon.....................

WWI figures are now in stock and shipping as well as the new Roman Testudo :salute::
