Okay, so wee all know that there is a cwt morris truck going to be released for d-day/market garden!^&grin However the model itself presents me with a problem!{eek3} There is no canopy or over over the back of the truck so the back is open to the world!{eek3} We could hpe that Andy brings out some sitting tommy figures, we could fill it with supplies...or we could take another approach!:wink2:

Anyone remember the scene in a bridge too far where there are several XXX Corps trucks going down that single road and all of a sudden the truck infront explodes into flames!^&confuse Well I have that screenshot on my computer and also have the original photo of this event which I believe that scene is based on which captures the exact moment when the truck explodes!{eek3}

I may attempt to recreate this scene with the morris truck model!^&grin I have some spare build-a-rama ambush netting which I could use and lots of broken/smashed up king and country hedgehogs and bits of wooden fencing etc which I could try to combine try to create the back of a blown up truck, could try and use wire to bend and stick pieces of metal out as if the back of the truck has blown up that very second! Maybe some build-a-rama smoke?Need to find something to use for fire but!^&confuse Any ideas on the fire idea? And what are the views on this idea?^&grin

Creating a blown up truck is very very difficult if you want to recreate the explosion itself . It is much easier to recreate the result of the explosion . The smoke effects that I have seen so far,I personally do not like. In my 50 years of dio building I have never managed to make something like that. Maybe it is time to give it a try. Will let you know how I progress.
