Do you guys think we might see something more like that for this series? The recent Robert Rogers set was really nice and the hand to hand sets that John did for the Jacobite Rebellion, Im sure he could do something just has nice like that for Snow Shoes with some rangers and Indians.

My BoS shelf is now stuffed and very close to the Maximum Seating Capacity allowed by the Fire Department. If there are many more future releases, I will need to punt somethings into the closet.

My last free display shelf is being held for Bushy Run!!!

Hand to Hand sets are always good.Would love to see some for BOM.I don't collect this series but a few sets would make a nice vignette. Some more French Colonial/Militia sets. They could be used in any battle. And of course the ever popular dead/wounded sets for any range.

Dead and wounded sets would be good. I no john said snow shoes is coming to a end and we wont see to many more sets, but I just thought something like that would be nice.

I don't think John will close the door on Snow Shoes as long as their is some interest in it...and there seems to be a lot...

I have never heard him say it is coming to an end and there is no reason to finish it off if it's popular...

I too would like some dead sets...scalping sets...more prisoner sets...hand to hand sets...especially Indian and Ranger sets.

Michael,

Im probably wrong about snow shoes coming to a end. I thought someone on the forum said that awhile back or something like that. Of course I would not want to see it end. Its one of my favorite's.

No Titus...

I have seen that comment on here in several threads...when I mentioned it to John...I got the imporession that it might go on a indefinitely...not saying there will be two or three Snow Shoes releases every month...but I got the feeling he would continue with pieces here and there...there is no point in closing a series if it's still popular...quite a few of the Snow Shoes pieces have retired recently...so it's definitely still popular.

The ending of lines is not an exact science. John might start out with a plan to do a certain number of figures for a line and then change his mind or make a few now and again as he sees fit. When I talked to him about two years ago, he indicated Braddock was the functional end of the Monongahela line in his mind. Maybe a few more sets, but no more regular monthly releases. He noted several times that it gave him a lot of satisfaction to have seen that line through to the end. And that is how it has played out. Since then he has gotten a lot of requests for more and it looks like he will do some. But I don't expect it to be a regular occurrence. The same is true of BOS. When it was first announced he gave a specific number of figures that would be made. When I talked to him he said Rogers and Langy would be the last figures released. But if it's still selling and he has an interest, it can go on as long as he wants to make them. I do think the number of BOS releases are going to diminish from here on out. Particularly if he kicks off another line this year.
