The Army is celebrating its 238th birthday Friday, 14 June 2013, with a number of events across the country. It's
also Flag Day.
The Continental Army was formed in 1775 during the American Revolution to confront British troops outside Boston, Mass.
Locally, a wreath laying ceremony will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at the Tomb of the Unknowns to honor all fallen soldiers. A Twilight Tattoo, an hour-long military pageant featuring The Old Guard, will be held at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall at 7 p.m.
The Secret State granted unprecedented access from U.S. Army to shoot music video at Fort Irwin. Not my style of music, but still
a nice tribute. Oh, the memories of Fort Irwin.
