Trophy of Wales Bersaglieri firing set with an extra (boxless/homeless:wink2:) guy advacing.
Frontline Figures Napoleonic Allies of France - Italians (green) and lots of Neapolitans in white.
Hope you enjoy these pics despite the dubious quality. We took them on our Irish potato camera:wink2:. Since we started a St. Pat's thread we thought it only fair to include our Italian fratellie e sorelle.
We also have many, many Romans and some WW2 forces as well, but I (Pat Jr) thought this would be something slightly different on this forum, and therefore maybe interesting. I'm 1/4 Italian and Dad, though Irish-German, is a huge fan of Italy who even lived there for 9 months. He has visited a few times since. But I'm part-Italian. Sicily here.
No points for guessing my last 1/4 of ancestry is English with some Scottish... to display all of our British would be to display half our collection.
Anyway, I digress, as usual - so just
HAPPY ST. JOSEPH'S DAY!
Best Wishes to All and a special saluto for our Italian friends and relatives!
Patrick Joseph Calihan, Jr. for Pat & Pat from Chicagoland

I'd think Trophy'd be more appropriate to St. Davy's Day ;)

Here's how I observe Josepfstag:

Couldn't get a dispensation to have a meal, though-Friday in Lent, y'know. So it's just Fastbier, like the monks did.

To all fathers of families, foster fathers, and to all who work, auf Sankt Josef, prost!

Yes, Dad's German sides celebrates this day as well, hence the middle name. Notably, it is also a Father's Day celebration. Awesome post!

Right back at you!

Love all of your Steiffs. We have a a few, Dad loved the animals as a child. We have a mint Paddy the Walrus, small scale.{sm4} Keep up the collection!
Thanks for responding! Italian themes are always divertimento (if Dad's even close to being comprehensible in Italian - it's been 50 years...)
Best Wishes
