I just wanted to wish everyone a happy Veterans' Day on the 99th Anniversary of the end of WWI, the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1917, and especially to thank the Veterans among us for their service . . .

I paused at 11:00 am for the 1 Minute's Silence this morning for Remembrance Day.

There was a solo flight over our local War Memorial by an RAAF jet fighter here in Fremantle for the ceremony, like there is every year.

Previous years I have attended the service but decided not to go today, it's 37c now in the city, so a bit hot to be out in the midday sun (no pun meant to English men or Mad Dogs)
