Happy7 Veterans' Day! Thank you for your service. Here are some photos of the Memorial Garden and Veterans' Memorial in my village, which I had the honor to dedicate on the exact hundredth anniversary of the end of WWI to the second, last November 11th.

Happy Veterans Day brother to yourself and all the other vets here on the board!!

Nov 11 is still in Belgium a non working day
We lay flowers to the WWI war memorials, in the presence of the sons and daughters of the WWI soldiers, with delegations of various countries and children of all ages, all across the country

I was driving back home from my daughter's farm today, and when coming through the small town of Brookton in the wheat-belt of Western Australia,
I noticed that at their war memorial was festooned with poppies !!!!

They were set into the garden bead leading up the memorial but what was most striking were the chains of poppies hanging off the 25 Pounder QF Gun.

The poppies were all crocheted from wool which follows on from the huge project in 2014 for the commencement of The Great War was commemorated by the womenfolk, particularly in rural communities, in this way.

LEST WE FORGET
