Monty was sure he had haggled a good price for a Camel ride, but the Egyptian was sure he could squeeze more out of him. Neither would give in !

From the jungles of WWII Pacific and S.E. Asia to the burning desert of Egypt.
Steve, my friend you do get around.

The pic of Monty with the pyramids is a winner.
Monty better be careful or he'll lose the plane. Those Arabs can be a tricky bunch to deal with.

Your T.S. talent knows no bounds ….^&grin

Hello Larry,
A great series of pictures, showing a lot of imagination. If I may, in the last image showing Monty with the two British paratroopers in front of the C-47, could you please tell me which Thomas Gunn figures, by catalog number and title, they are. Most appreciated as I can't seem to recall either one. Thanks in advance.

Cheers Larry. The photo of the Pyramids was one I took last time I was at Giza, Dec 2012. And yes I did do the Camel ride round the Pyramids. Because of the recent Revolution there Egypt was quiet tourist wise. Last years trip to Egypt, things had picked up somewhat, though most of the tourists now seemed to be Chinese and they were missing the British tourists, since they always make more money from us !

So I just thought I'd have some dioramic fun with these hustlers who really are very persistent, well there's been tourists to see the pyramids for a few thousand years so they've had lots of practice ! ^&grin

Photo backdrop not that you can see much of it is of a D.Day beach. There are photos and film of Monty jumping out of a DUKW. No Egyptian hustlers in view though !

Photo with the RAF C47 Dakota in background is to give impression of Monty visiting Para's before Operation Market Garden and still with the blighters following !
