I saw this bag of current production Cowboys & Indians on eBay and I thought the poses looked better than the usual modern China-made figures. The orange ones look like they might be a good match for Marx Indians. Has anyone bought these? Are they OK? How big are they? The picture doesn't really give you a good idea of scale and detail.

Not into Western stuff that much, but they look nice from what little I could make out. Any info on who made them? I wonder if they make any WW2 figures? BOBBYGMOORE

Hi-I saw these on Amazon, $2.40!!!!! Marked down from $10.99. 2 reviews, 1 star rating, "If you are thinking about buying these...don't! They are so small and cheaply made my grandson could eat them. Very disappointed...and it's a shame that we have to pay upfront while the seller sends you something like this". The other bagged figures from this brand are 3/4 inch, but I didn't see a size posted for these

Well for $2.40 I went ahead and bought them. We'll see how they turn out. From that review you quoted, I am afraid they will pull the old "bait and switch" on me and put in some of those hideous scrawny mutant Airfix clone figures you see at Dollar Tree. But there is a user submitted photo and they don't look bad. Really can't tell the scale and apparently you only get Indians in 3 colors. Oh well, at least I get to open another dimestore type bag of western figures for the first time since 1975.

I saw that picture of the figures a buyer took. Now out of the bag, They looked less interesting. I'm thinking they are on the small size, a measurement of the package was listed as 5x4.8x2, keep in mind the header says 72 figures, and you can see that even 2 figures standing on top of each other are not tall enough to reach from one side to the other of the bag. The price is interesting, looking around the web, I saw prices run from $10-$34! A bag, and this before adding shipping charges!

They aren't the greatest, but at least they are better than these disasters:

Yeah, I have given up on supplementing my Marx tribe with them after reading the bag dimensions. If they are 1/72 or close, it won't be so bad. Even if they are incompatible with everything I have, for $2.40 +shipping, it'll be fun to find some marginally decent cheapo figures again. $10 is way too much for them and $34 is robbery.

Ever notice that the standard for cheap toy soldiers seems to be degenerating over the years? I don't understand how anyone could buy garbage like the figures in the pic I posted above. Especially when you consider that the standard for cheap western figures 40+ years ago was this:
