Has there been any news about the Crimean range? (1 Viewer)

Hi Pete - Not sure if you are already aware - the last news I heard was in the King & Country U.K. Collectors Club Newsletter Issue No 61 July:

"As you will know we in the UK have had designed for us an exclusive Crimea range. This came to a natural end a few years back.
The good news is that Andy Neilson has asked us if we would mind if he picked up the range and continued it. This of course was
not an issue, and the designs are on the go, already. There will be add-ons to the range that is out now and also some new
regiments and battles from the campaign. We still hold stocks of the original run if you would like to start / complete sets, before
the new ones come out. Please also note that the prices of the Crimea have not increased."

Hope this helps a little

Thanks Roy. It'll be interesting to see where this range goes.

Looking forward to seeing any further additions to the Charge of the Light Brigade series. I'm at the point where I have just about managed to accumulate all the (still available) K&C figures I want for my collections, so hopefully there may be something to add at the end of the year.

I'm into this range with a passion! I have the complete series and I can't wait for the new additions whatever they are. {sm3}

Price wise the existing Crimean range is the cheapest that K&C produce and so I have taken advantage of this (with multiples this year) before they disappear for good.

Let's hope we don't have to wait too long.

I am hoping to get something into the next K&C UK news letter due out very soon (i am sorting it now) about when and potentially what the items will be. Maybe get a sneak peek witha drawing or grey master picture.

Myself and Andy had many meetings about the range when we were developing it and there are still many ideas from those meetings that i am sure Andy will cherry pick from.

With regards your comment Jeff about pricing........yeah we tend to get beaten up in the UK with regards the K&C pricing (tax, VAT, import, exchange blah blah) so it is nice to show that the price of a K&C UK Crimea range has not changed in the years that we have done it. makes for a very viable range to collect.

Also we are in the process of working with Shannon and Pete of this here said forum, with regards to USA distripution of the K&C UK side of the range. This will mean that in the US your favourite retailer will have the opportunity to stock the range for you. If you would like this then get them to speak to Julie at Treefrog.
on a foot note when the new range is added to there is always a back catelouge search and often retailers sell out of 'older stock' fast. The Current stocks of the K&C UK range are good but once the range is added to by HK then we cannot predict how long the otems we and treefrog carry will last.
