I just finished painting up my BAVARIAN command set and finally finished the box of marching figures I started painting over a year ago.
The Flag was tough to paint and if I had to do another I would just cut of the flag and go with a paper one.
These are great figures and I really hope Hat does more sets in 1/32 scale???? I want to get more of these guys painted up do a few conversions also. The artillery crew are conversions and a couple of the infantry guys are also tweaked around but I never really sat down and put much thought into converting this set but I like the way they painted up and I,ll have to try and convert and paint up more of these.

I can appreciate the effort that goes into a project like this. Fantastic work. As for the flag painting I also have spent(wasted?) hours trying to do intricate and complicated flags. I have looked for 1/32 scale flags for this period but have found only French flags. What color do you use for the jackets? I read that it is called cornflower blue but I can't find that shade at the shops.

Splendid brush work as usual. This is a fantastic looking unit of Germans in action. The flag turned out great and the artillery boys did, too. Nice work-thanks for sharing it.

Hi Fish

nice work - I am working on a group of x 32 Bavarian infantry figures now and have opted to paint the flag myself as a bit of a challenge - definitely an acquired skill probably better done by some artist from the UK College of Arms used to heraldic devises etc....but will have a crack at it all the same.

I will post photos when completed - this 8th Regt with the yellow facings and red piping seems to be the one most figure painters opt for, probably as its the most colourful

Regards
Dave
