Hi
check out the new 1/32nd sets by Hat Industrie on their website. Punic Wars sets mounted Italian and Numidian Cavalry. Excellent action figures on proper 54mm horses.
More to follow later this year including Napoleonic French Light Infantry Voltigeurs and Carabiniers in colpacks
Hat are expanding/developing their 1/32nd range after mainly concentrating on the smaller 1/72nd scale for many years which is great news for 54mm, 1/32nd scale collectors.

All very good news. They paint up very well.Have to get the new sets you mention.Looking forward to the Greeks and other Punic wars items on their workbench. Now, If we could get Italeri/Zveda to do more of the same, in Particular the Persians.
Thumbs up!

Does anyone know how these compare in scale to WB and KC?

A wee bit small for WB. I glue plastics to fender washers or steel wargame bases for heft and just a tad in hieght and terrain the bases.Match fine with WB and other "54mm" figs. Wrong scale to match KC which is too bad.Dont match conte metal figs either.

Fub nailed it. But the Washers are a great way to raise their height a little. Then a little flocking to cover up.

The CTS Punic War Figures are on the tall end of the 54mm scale
Hat are more like Italeri true 54mm
I don't base all plastics but if they have a puny stand and tip over easy then i like to base them i just cut aluminium bases at work 0.6mm up to 1.0mm i like to keep the stands thin so they still mix with the rest of the troops.:)
Washers work well also.
Looking forward to seing the Hat Figs
Ragnar

Yesterday I recieved additional forces for the Punic wars by HAT.
Celts, Spanish infantry, Italian Allies and Roman Triari.
Celts and Spanish are even a bit smaller than their other foot figures and look to be sculpted in a different style. They are not bad, should paint up well. Spent a while doing some minor changes, weapons, shields between the Italeri/Hat plus some metal parts from my own Ancients arsenal.
Looking forward to the new troop types as well.

I like surprises :D Cav ? Roman? Celts ? what ever ya got cooking looking forward to seing them

Ragnar, Been jumping back and forth between painting, a little converting with the plastics and trying to make some of my own Gauls/Germanics.
Should concentrate on one or the other but I find it's easier to just do what I want at the moment.
Tried a little trick concerning the shield designs for Carthaginian Heavies.
I'll post a pic of the results-- later.

Carthaginian battle line grows, slowly.

2nd image are HAT 1/32 painted metal Hastati and Triarii . Not bad, But I think they could use some inking, shadows for depth and I'll terrain the bases too.Got them from Hobby Bunker, distributor for Hat Industries.
