HB vs KC figures (1 Viewer)

If possible I would love to see pictures of your new combinations of HB & KC?

I just got a set of HB's winter ski troops. The historical accuracy and sculpt/posing is easily equal or superior to K&C, however I agree overall the paint finish and detail on the figures is not yet up to K&C standard. Also, there were a few issues of damages in my HB set, more than an average K&C set (bent machine gun, broken panzerfaust off the sleigh) - which surprised me a bit given my cook wagon arrived in perfect shape and it is a far more complicated item (but of course received more effort in packaging). One benefit with the HB however is I was able to rebend the gun barrel without losing any paint - it would be very difficult to do that on a K&C figure because their paint is more fragile.

K&C gets the nod over HB as far as figures go. If we talk tanks, I must say this, and that is I have owned my HB Sherman for a few weeks now, and without question, that tank grabs your eye quicker than my two K&C Shermans. The HB quality floored me, as well it should for the list price of $195.00. I just have to ask myself, is it that much better than my $89.00 M4 105 howizer? K&C is still a better value at 1/2 the price. I am interested in seeing how the HB shermans perform in retirement on e-bay?

I tend to think of HB as a producer of high-quality vehicles with the figures as accessories. KC makes many more stand alone figure sets - so quality is more important for them. You can always use the KC figures with the HB tanks and have the best of both.

It sure is the best of both worlds!
