Hi all,

I have just received HB24 as a complimentary set from Shannon (again thank you very much !) and here are some pictures of the set. I still have some problems with the zoom of my camera.

If I compare this set with the damaged panther figures, we can see that there's such a huge improvement in sculpting and painting of the soldiers..

If I compare the palette of colors used by HB vs K&C I can honestly say that I have no preference and that all collectors would be happy with one or the other. K&C soldiers are more colorful in their skin tones with more red and pure yellow appearing sometimes.. The palette of Honour Bound is more earthy and more realistic in a sense and I like it a lot. Also, HB in these new figures have done the clothes with less chroma than what we find in K&C stuff... so more realism there too.. and that's what I am after.. Now if you put these figures close to any regular K&C set, they will match perfectly in scale. I think that now that K&C single soldier is going for 30$+ they will get some serious competition from HB & that's ultimately a good thing for us collectors. Keep up the good work HB people. It's appreciated.

PS : packaging of this 4 soldiers set was perfect with regular cut foam.. same thing as we have with K&C so no difference there too.. excellent !

The images of these figures, the way they're painted and the way they appear in the light, reminds me very much of German posters from the thirties. There was a studio in Munich that produced a lot of them, in that style, but its name escapes me. If you have seen the poster recruiting for the Nazi university student league, you'll see what I'm thinking of:

That looks pretty good. I'll need to take a look at them in Chicago. Would be great if we had Commonwealth soldiers

I also need to see these up close.Going on HB Tank crew figures i don't feel they fit in well with K&C figures,mainly because of the difference in facial quality.However these look nice sets,good pis.

HEY!!!!! How do you get complimentary sets?? Anybody else miss this point?

All you have to do is be able to repaint vehicles like Alex does and wham!, you get a complimentary set, no problem.............
