I wanted to say hello to everyone and take a moment to thank Shannon and company for sponsoring this forum. It takes a lot to put something like this together and keep up with it. I can't tell you the time I spend keeping my site as current as possible.

It's great to see K&C family get together to discuss our passion. Having these types of discussions lets your voice be heard to the people that need to hear it. It prompts new ideas and answers lots of questions that otherwise would go unanswered. Thanks for participating Andy!

Having a site of my own and getting the feedback I needed from fellow collectors allowed me to come up with the ideas that you see on my site. When I started collecting it was very hard to get answers to my never ending questions. It was even hard to purchase items since most dealers did not stock the entire K&C line. That was the basis for my site. Being mainly a collector and wanting information I started listing every set I could get a picture of and at least putting the text out ther for others to see. It tends to be a reference point. If any of you have sets that are not pictured I would appreciate an email with an attachment and I will add it to the site.

I have to thank Louis for helping me with a lot of the old brochures that are listed and I promise to get them straightened out in the proper order:)

Lastly, I am very excited about this forum and think it will help us all in our constant pursuit of collecting what we long for!

Thanks,
Bill Sager

Hello Bill, and welcome. I often refer people to your site, but I have to get you the rest of the brochures you are missing and get the correct dates on the ones you have. When you have time during the week, give me a call and we can get it all worked out. By the way, I just bought the old first production wood winter tiger displayed on your site from my old friend Doug Stork. He is a real gentleman, and has been collecting K&C even longer than I have.

I'm afraid to ask the price. I could not get him to sell it to me.

I think that is one of the best looking wooden tanks I have seen!

I will be in touch with you this week. I need to get caught up. My auto business has been very busy and occupying my time.

See ya,
Bill

I paid him fair value (which was expensive), but the reason he wouldn't sell it to you was a longstanding promise to sell it to me. He contacted me through this forum when he was ready to sell. Right before the N.Y. Symposium he had contacted me to tell me he hadn't forgotten a promise to sell it to me made in 1998!!! Doug is a true gentleman and one of the reasons I am so pleased and proud to be a K&C collector.

A very nice story and just in my one year collecting I've seen nothing but class and nice people in this hobby. I don't want to single anyone out per se but at the top of my list in no special order are Louis, Shannon and George G. Top people all and people you're happy to call friends.

I agree with both of you. It's that loyalty and the promise that makes trading so much fun. When it loses that is when it becomes a nightmare.

I find a lot of the loyalty factor in the K&C collectors.

I would like to join Brad in praising Shannon and George, two of the nicest and most honorable dealers. Just about everyone on the dealers list on the K&C website (with one exception) has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. There are also many-many wonderfull and honorable collectors I have dealt with. Guys like Doug Luna, Brad, Hans Hedrich, Larry Lo, Bruce Whitman, Marc Hoffman, Brian Wayert, Jack Matthews, Dennis DeRusha, etc. make this hobby fantastic. Thanks guys!
