Hi - check out Helmet Soldiers - follow the link from Plastic Warrior magazine. A great range of Napoleonic and Crimean War kits plus a massive range of spare parts that can be used to convert other makes in 54mm.
Most of the parts are polythene type plastics and need to be glued with superglue (cyanoacrylate?).
The guy who runs it has a blog showing many of the figures constructed/painted and the site records the history of the brand etc..
well worth a visit
