Just wanted to say what a great idea I that Help for Heroes charity piece is. A really nice gesture on the part of W. Britains, and one that I hope other manufacturers will emulate.

On a more selfish note, any chance this means more modern/Afghanistan figures...maybe even a new line? After all, the last stretcher bearer set presaged the War Along the Nile range.

While I love Figarti's Iraq figures and K&C's sadly discontinued Special Forces series, I would love to see Britains enter the modern warfare arena, which is still up for the taking. I bet I'm not the only one who would be interested.

Regardless, WB deserves kudos for this.

With you 100%, both in terms of kudos to WB for supporting Help for Heroes, and also for getting some modern stuff out there. I'll be picking this up for certain and am still waiting for their 2004 Museum piece to be released.

Agree wholeheartedly with above sentiments. I would love to see more modern British figures. I hope it won't be too long before the delayed (from last year) Elite Series figure - the modern British paratrooper - becomes available. A model which will go very nicely with the Help for Heroes vignette.

Is that the number Scott?
I actually meant 2004, as in the 'Iraq 2004', but on reflection, it might have been 2006, can't remeber due to old age and senility. I also forgot that graycap is right, it's the Para in the Elite series, not in the Black Watch museum series. At least I remembered what company was producing it! :p
Glad to hear it's coming soon, need to bolster the ranks a little.
Cheers
