Hope this post finds every one well and dealing with the insanity. First let me explain I am helping a friend that inherited a large collection of toy soldiers. I am retired and since my volunteer jobs have been put on hold I have enjoyed searching to ID the soldiers in the collection. I found the book Regiments of All Nation Britains 1946-66 which has been a tremendous help, but there are still some I am having difficulties identifying. Photo 1 is a Scots Greys, but the horse color I haven't been able to find. Photo 2 is a Life Guard but haven't seen the rearing horse anywhere.
Photo 3 I don't have a clue. Photo 4 is Britains Deetail 1988 but can't find the name of the particular one.
As always thanks for the help. I hope you and your families stay well and things return to normal soon.

The Wallis books are indeed an invaluable resource. I'm guessing you have the early edition, with b/w photos, because the colour version has photos of two of your guys.
1: from set 32 Scots Greys trooper, gloves not gauntlets = pre1953. Postwar the horses were spray-painted, rather than randomly dappled grey over white as in prewar. (There's a Pathe newsreel clip on Youtube showing this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKkER6_Pucc )
2: from set 1 Life Guards Officer on rearing horse, again pre1953 only.
3: from set 24 9th Lancers trooper.
4: Sorry, but I have little to no interest in post1966 Britains production.

(This thread should be posted in the Britains Glossy section.)
