So, I've got a modest little collection of WW2/North Africa TS and models. I'd been looking for a vehicle to supplement the figures and plane replicas that I own and came across AK074 for sale on Ebay. The vehicle is a decent fit for the group, as it's what I'd characterize to be "Happy Warrior" in nature. For that matter, If I had to caption the little exhibit in question, the text would read something like, "media day in the Western Desert," being focused almost exclusively on pilots and the press-types that lived to chronicle their exploits. Anyway, I'm reading through the ad, and I come across the following:

Ebay has advised me that I can not ship this product to any member state of the EU, so the following countries I usually ship to are now restricted from shipments: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Sweden, United Kingdom.

Can anyone tell me what this is all about? Legally, has this set somehow become a contraband of sorts?

Thanks,

-Moe

Hi Mike,

First, thanks so much for your response. If I sound concerned, it's because of an incident that occurred last spring with a Hobby Master model of a Brewster Buffalo replica. The models were blocked from export from China because of the Finnish air force insignia on the wings/fuselage. Could this be about the nazee-flag on the top of the Volkswagen?^&confuse

Here's a link to the ebay listing:

In Germany it is not allowed to trade items. They shown Nazi symbols.

For example we can´t look for German Militaria (1933-1945) in Ebay from other countries. This is blocked by Ebay.

Sorry for my english.
