That's pretty crazy. They look very similar but all of the poses are just slightly different. 'm even more intrigued by their origin.

Thanks! I have confirmed that now. I knew they were from Italy but couldn't remember the name.

...The name on the packet was S S Kresce Co...

Was it "Kresce", or "Kresge"? S. S. Kresge, Co, was an American department store chain, which grew and eventually became K-Mart. It merged with Sears and is now "Sears Holding Company", the parent of the K-Mart and Sears brands.

If that was the original package, that places those metal figures in the mid-70s back to the 60s.

The plastic ones may be later copies of the metal figures.

Prost!

The Italian company Fontanini created 12CM statuettes for the tourist trade and export market which were sculpted by Elio Simonetti. The company Canè Giocattoli srl pantographed four Fontanini figures to a smaller size and had the sculptor make a fifth (center figure in package below). The Canè figures were made in plastic. They are still available in the US as bagged sets uf 10 figures in 5 poses.

Canè did this with a few Fontanini figure series.

Fontinini made excellent Christmas scene figures. I have a bunch of them.
They made the 3 Musketeers and some other stuff that I have.

Anyway, you're welcome.
