I am considering starting my first ever dio in 1/72 scale.I got the idea from a wonderful dio i saw at the Portsmouth D Day museum a couple of years back. The dio was of a road and surrounding fields full of armour and military vehicles in the build up to D day.Now i have a couple of questions for you experts.Firstly, there is an Austin Ambulance in the Airfix Airfield set painted in a Khaki Brown colour.Would this ambulance be painted green if it was bound for Normandy?.Also did the Britsh Army use American trucks at all?.Can't seem to find a Bedford truck in 1/72.Would appreciate any advice, thanks

Rob

Ahhhh, the 1/72 slippery slope. Give up hope Rob, all is lost.:D

Have you considered 1/50 scale? Corgi has an outstanding D-Day Bedford QLD and several British tanks.

This is my Corgi 61001 D-Day display.

Very nice indeed.I am thinking of 1/72 as it holds fond childhood memories for me,but 1/50 looks cool.

Simon i blame you for pushing me onto the slippery slope!!!!!:D
