I have looked at my books, catalogs and on line and can't find which set this lancer comes from. Any info is appreciated.

Fron the colours of the turban and his coat I'd say he if The Queen's own Corps of Guides.

He could possibly be a repaint if you can't see him in a catalogue.

These are some others from that regiment, Rose Miniatures and a Stadden that I have painted.

If you need him repaired and touched up, please contact me. I have the guy to do that.

...He could possibly be a repaint...

I had the same thought, looking at the photo.

First thing that caught my eye is the paint chipped away on the torso, next to the moveable right arm. It looks like there is another color there, yellowish. Same goes for the paint chipped away on the right knee.

The second thing that looks odd or different to my eye is the dullness of the paint. It seems to me that nearly all the Britains that I see, still retain some of the original gloss. This one's finish seems more matte overall.

These things aren't necessarily conclusive, but it does strike me as an original Britains casting that has been repainted by a collector/hobbyist.

Prost!

Hi Guys

To My eyes it is a repainted figure from one of their Skinners Horse sets. Like Brad mentioned the other color underneath the exterior khaki color is a nice glossy yellow. Still it’s a very nicely done paint job.
