[Hi all

The London Toy Soldier Show 6th June 2015 was the inaugural appearance of Grey Goose Collectibles as the new John Jenkins exclusive UK Dealer.

My good collector friend Pete (Chalklands) and myself were very chuffed to be invited to help them out with the John Jenkins side of things for the day.

I did say on here when James and Adam announced their retirement from the dealership that they would be a “Hard act to follow” (and indeed they were) but I do believe that Clive and his family are very worthy successors and I wish them most success with the dealership.

The day was a lot of fun – a free raffle was held for a MkV Female tank, and a “Guess the Weight of the Production model” competition for the new German A7V tank. The prize being an actual production model of the A7V!
A special offer of an exclusive London Show figure for all purchases over £50.00 – the figure being “Jack Cornwell VC” (a smashing little figure – I have no idea who might have suggested that……………!)
Lots of visitors from afar visited the stand, including “Jack”(Martin) well known Treefrogger from Australia. Pete and myself had a couple of very fun chats with him – a genuinely nice guy.

Of the new products – the Eindecker is truly stunning including a fully detailed cockpit interior. The Sculpts for the new Poilus speak for themselves – the German Sniper –well took one home with me – the Supermarine S. 6B an amazing paint job and well……… the A7V words fail me. The Maxim guns are fully detailed in the interior as well. I will want (need) one!

Third set of pics starting with Clive presenting the MKV Female tank to the lucky winner (who seemed a little stunned......) Unfortunately didn't manage to catch his name.

Forth set of pics, first one is Clive and "Jack" (Martin)
The next is Jim Mills, a very colourful character from the Empire Military Miniatures Stand who came to visit and enter for the Win a Female Mk V tank draw.
He was actually at the show manning his original 1910 Maxim gun at the show's entrance:

Hi Roy,
Many thanks to both you and Pete for your great help yesterday.
Also a big thank you to you for posting the photos although a little photo shopping first, to reduce my waistline, would have been in order :)
The winner of the Mk V female tank was Mr Norman Parsons who was encouraged by his friend Don to attend the show and see the jjD range.
He bought his first item and won the prize, a happy man indeed.
Great to meet some new collectors ( to me) and also chat with the guys I've known for years.
We had a bit of fun with the competitions and we'll be trying to do more to keep things light-hearted in the future.
We're busy following up on the numerous enquiries and will be responding to everyone as quickly as possible.

Regards
Clive

Ditto Clive's comment.....I thought I'd hired a body double....not a double body! And where has my hair gone?

I enjoyed the day.

Love the forthcoming Poilu's and the AVF!

The Supermarine S.6B looks superb, as does the Fokker Eindecker.

Pete

...great photo's, (thank-you for posting!)....featuring the superb new offerings from JJD.....I'm very taken by the A7V....

...but the one 'must have' figure out of all that was on show, and if I may take the cheeky liberty of re-posting a snippet from one of the photo's...

...is the "JJCLUBSET-19 Jacobite Rebellion, Regiment Royal Ecossais, Officer with Colonel's Colours".....

...I've been impatiently waiting on his arrival....the time must be nearing now that he's out-and-about....:)

Stunning figures and vehicles. The Eindecker has incredible detail from what I can see in these excellent photos and I will be getting one, of course, along with all the new Poilu medic figures. The sculpts on those figures look to be the best yet, with the stretcher case in particular being so expressive that his agony can be easily imagined. Every month I keep saying to myself "How can John's figures and releases get any better?", and every month they do just that. The man's ability and creativity seem to have no bounds. Just simply the best. -- Al
