I typically only make my own figures, but an acquaintance sent these to me to identify and find approximate value. Give me a guestimate please. One of the heads is missing, one is detached but placed back on, and the leg of the kneeling officer with binoculars is detached. What do you think is fair value? Thanks guys.

These are older WBritains of French Foreign Legion......they are in pretty bad shape and no original box so doubt they are worth much if anything.
Sorry for bad news.

Thanks for the info, I think he wants to trade for stuff I make, which may be valued similarly {sm2}

One point - the underside of the base you showed has the French term " Deposé " - which is how the French indicated copyright. This word indicates that the figure shown came from a "Paris Office" mould. As that office was only open for a short while, (1906 - 1923 - but the Deposé word only used from 1912 onwards ), this could indicate the age of the figures, although as the moulds were returned to Britains in the UK when the office closed - and were used again, it doesn't necessarily mean they were made in France - but they could have been. They almost certainly date to before 1930, so are possibly around 90 - 100 years old.

If they are all marked like that - it just makes them a little more saleable and desirable. They aren't in all that bad shape, considering their age, and the broken bits are very repairable, in my opinion.

As to value - how long is a piece of string? You can get what someone else is willing to pay.

Hope that helps a bit. jb
