Hushed up since it was never solved, while Hercule was down under sometime during the war years.
"The Case of the missing 9D !"

I hope to see others adding their own case's of Hercule, in the same vein !

Very funny Steve. They are still missing and since 1966 they have been on the rare list after going to decimal currency. Robin.

Cheers Robin :salute::
No doubt this fabled hoard of Silver is hunted by treasure seekers with metal detectors :wink2::tongue:

I think UK coins stopped containing Silver in 1947, presumably something similar for Aussie coins.

A grumpy travel worn Hercule, stopping off to admire the view with Colonel Niven, are approached by a desperate looking Shepherd.....

Pah, Mon Dieu, looking for your lost sheep is below Poirot !
And with that they continue their journey.

At a save distance the missing Sheep raised it's head from it's hiding place in the Hercule's and Niven's hire car, to take a last look of its old familar pasture and glad to give miss the upcoming festival, where she was to have taken an important place on her bed of Rice !
The words Mint Sauce still foreign to her.

I like the small plots as well. Archeology or English or something else next? Who can tell...

It could be the ‘case’ of, out of the fire into the frying pan. ^&grin, Robin.

Bon Colonel, my compliments to your chef, his dish of Mutton marinaded in wine last night was delicious !

These two shots really capture the feel of this period and the location. You have presented so well Steve. Robin.

Thanks Robin, these two photos I took a couple of years back, but thought I'd use them again as they fitted the little tale !
The backdrop photo was one I took whilst on holiday in Syria 2007, visiting lots of ancient sites. So glad that I was able to visit the country then, before it got torn apart by civil war and so many of it's ancient treasures that had survived two thousand years were blown up by Isis.
Every picture tells a story !

Bet you never dreamt Steve that when you took this excellent photo, one day in the distant future it was going to be part of your TS collection story. Certainly makes your scene even more special. Robin.

Poirot foils the Counterfeiters.

Oui Mon Ami, when it comes to counterfeiting one must get every detail correct, and getting the scale wrong is an instant giveaway !
