Well, our first born turned 15 yesterday. I cannot possibly put into words how proud I am of him. Consistently makes the honor roll, works hard, very respectful, CLEARLY this young man is more my wife's son than mine {eek3}^&grin. He'll be a far far better man than I ever was.

So I had to take a stupid 6 point drivers test yesterday- guess I got nabbed running too many redlight/ stop signs so I had to take a safe driving test. Anyway, picked up the learner's permit book for my son. Took him for a drive out at a parking lot too. Stop, Go, Stop , go...a lot of aleve is helping this crick in my neck today!! ^&grin

Hard to believe, 15 years ago I became a dad. Seems like yesterday.........{sm2}

Time really does pass quickly. My Youngest son just turned 29 and the other two "children" are 32 and 33. I have no idea whatsoever where the time went. Enjoy each day with them. And tell him Happy Birthday from another Treefrogger.^&grin -- Al

I'd love to be 15 years old again, but better yet, 39 is an awesome age.:smile2: Maybe I should count my blessings, but nearing 52, I feel quite old and still playing with toy soldiers.:tongue:

I still would take 39 over 15- only exception is that I would have made the army a career but that could have happened after college. The toy soldiers will keep you young my friend!! ^&grin

Al- I will certainly pass the well wishes on. I am sure he will appreciate it!! :eek:

Just can't believe that I might have a college student in the midst in 3 YEARS!!! {sm2}{sm2} Seems like my college days were just yesteday!!

Congratulations to your son on the big one-five. My oldest is only 5, and I already can't believe how time flies. It seems like only yesterday I was taking him home from the hospital.

That's great Chris.Is he interested in a military career like his dad?You are blessed.

Remember when you loaded the newborn in the car seat for the first time leaving the hospital...WhooW freaky! My first born is 4 now so I'm relating to time flying!

I remember how helpless it felt to try to figure out how to install the bucket car seat the first time. And being home with my son Alec (22 months old at the time) the night my wife was in the hospital after giving birth to my daughter, explaining to him about his new baby sister. My son's first Yankee game at old Yankee Stadium in September, 2008. Alec leaving on the bus for his first day of kindergarden last September. My daughter's first Yankee game last month. Its funny what moments stay with you.

Wow Chris thats great! My daughter is working on 12 and its making me feel really old! I am constantly amazed at how fast the time flies by with the kids. Heck my 2.5 year old is making me laugh on a daily basis especially when he repeats the things that dad says when stuck in traffic...{sm2} Mom is not amused!{sm0}

Enjoy the time teaching him to drive and watch out for those red lights buddy

I am brother- every day with my kids is the greatest gits I get from God.

He really hasn't expressed any interest in the military. Not sure he is quite there physical fitness wise either. He has started lifting weights with me and I wake up each morning looking forward to hitting the iron with him. Still, the military spends a lot of time "double timing" and the boy doesn't like to run at all so, I don't think it's in the cards. Now my daughter, that's another story:eek:

No, he wants to be a scientist and there is no doubt he will attain that.

Hi Chris. If running and walking are not his thing, perhaps the Air Force or Navy? Flying or swimming is more fun than hoofing it, anyway.{eek3}:wink2:^&grin -- Al

Well done,,,selfish SOB that I am I prefer the military line to cease with me.

Chris,

Congrats on having such a great kid for a son and you should be rightfully proud of him - considering all he has to overcome with having an Army dad :tongue:^&grin So, tell him to FLY NAVY ^&grin^&grin Have a great weekend with the family. By the way, the other two kids aren't too bad either :smile2: All the best, Lawrence
