I know that several people use photo editing software to hide bases on figures. I was wondering if the people who do that could say what software they use and if could give step by step directions on how to do it.

I use a PC and iPad. I know there are a couple of easy programs out there but they are for the Mac, which I don't have.

Thanks.

Brad...I used to use Photoshop...but it was expensive and time consuming...not sure if anyone offers free software...

Thanks Mike. Were there any instructions on how to hide bases or was it just trial and error?

I'm willing to pay for it but I need some sort of primer on how to do it.

I've never tried it for this purpose, but I use an old version of Paintshop that has a "cloning tool", which allows you to copy a circular section of the pic and pasting it elsewhere, blending the edges. I reckon it ought to be usable to cover the base with grass. I can only assume other image editors have a similar feature as this program is probably 15 years old.

no Brad...

the Photoshop software I used/own would be about 8-10 years old now...maybe older...it did have a "help tab"...that offered minimal instructions...but I just got frustrated with the program...I'm sure the newer software from Photoshop can do some pretty amazing stuff now...they were offering a course at Galveston College and I was thinking about taking it....but never did...

some people that I have talked to...that use it and have fantastic results...say it is extremely time consuming to edit a photograph...especially a large scale one...but again...my program is old...so the new ones are probably better and more user friendly...

Thanks Mike. I've looked into it from time to time but not seriously. I'll have to get off my you know what one of these days and try to learn it.
