Another new non-catalog set is ESCUELA MILITAR DE AVIACION MEXICO which represents Mexico's Air Force School. This set is the third Hiriart Mexican military school set now available covering the army, navy, and air force. About a year ago, there weren't any Mexican sets available until they added regular catalog set 1335 HEROICO COLEGIO MILITAR MEXICO.

Did you notice the eagle being carried by the lead cadet? Also, I can't tell if those uniforms are black or dark blue, or what. I would think since it is an Air Force school that they would be blue, but they sure look black to me.

Art, a Hiriart collector who lives in New York state, sent me the attached photos which he had originally sent to Hiriart as the basis for this new set. As you can see from the photos, the uniform is dark blue with purple trim and plume. I assume that the first photo of this set is bad and doesn't clearly show these details.

Since posting this in March, I have received photos of the aviation school's band which shows the uniform colors better. One can see the purple more clearly now.

I forgot to mention that the set shown in the first post has now been added to the Hiriart catalog as 1350 ESCUELA MILITAR DE AVIACION, MEXICO. The band is a non-catalog variation of that set.
