As might be expected, Hiriart makes many sets representing Latin American military schools and regiments. Here is a photo I just received this morning of a new non-catalog set representing Mexico's Naval School which is labeled HEROICA ESCUELA MILITAR NAVAL DE MEXICO.

To my mind's eye, these are fairly unusual looking uniforms except for the caps. I wonder if they are from the 19th Century?

Art, a Hiriart collector who lives in New York state, sent me this photo of the naval cadets. He was the one who originally sent it to Hiriart in the first place as the basis for this set. Thanks, Art.

Since posting the photo of this set last March, it has been added to the catalog as set 1349 HEROICA ESCUELA MILITAR NAVAL, MEXICO. I also received two photos of a non-catalog band version of this set.
