HIRIART January 2017 Delivery (1 Viewer)

The second half of my 2016 Hiriart order arrived on January 5th. There were 66 sets in this shipment , including 11 double sets, for 15 other collectors plus me. On Saturday, January 14th, eight of us got together at Bob W's house to distribute the sets that were for collectors located in Southern California.

First up is Hiriart Set Number 1236 SECOND REICH KAISER WHITE CUIRASSIERS that is for Brad.

Next up is Hiriart Set Number 1358 PORTUGUESE COLONIAL INFANTRY, MOZAMBIQUE, 1914 that was ordered by Andreas. In 2012, I commissioned Hiriart to make this set for us as one of three new World War I in Africa colonial sets. The other two sets were Set Number 1354 THE KING'S AFRICAN RIFLES, 1914 and Set Number 1357 BELGIAN CONGO FORCE PUBLIQUE, 1914.

This is a non-catalog set ordered by Joe: WORLD WAR II HUNGARIAN CAVALRY.

The order included two sets of WORLD WAR I GREEK CAVALRY for Mike S. and Stratas, as shown. John also ordered a set, but without the flag and bugler.

Mike S. and Stratas also ordered sets of BALKAN WAR GREEK CAVALRY, as show. John ordered a similar set, but without the flag and bugler.

This is a BALKAN WAR GREEK INFANTRY BAND as ordered by Mike S. and Stratas.

There were three non-catalog sets of TURKISH INFANTRY, BALKANS, 1912 on this order for Brian, Per, and me. I ordered a double set, but let Bob have it instead last Saturday. I'll reorder it for me again this year. Per's set had two extra men, as shown; Brian's set was identical less the two extra men.

This is a special set of the VI ERITREO ASCARI BATTAGLIONE ordered by Brian. He is one of three Hiriart collectors who are acquiring the first 10 battalions of Eritrean Askari in Italian service. Bob and Per are the other two. They have ordered a total of eight additional sets on the current 2017 order which will complete each of their 10 battalions acquisition.

Julian and I ordered a special variation of set 1255 WORLD WAR I AUSTRIAN INFANTRY with skis. I also ordered an extra flag bearer without skis to go with my original catalog set which doesn't have one.

This is Hiriart catalog Set 1364 BULGARIAN INFANTRY, BALKAN WAR, 1912 for me. It is probably my favorite Hiriart Balkan War set of the nine I have already or have on order. The ninth set on order is Bulgarian cavalry.

Kevin and I ordered Set Number 1063 ECOLE MILITAIRE SAINT CYR. There is a second version of this set with FAMAS assault rifles carried across the cadets' chests at a 45 degree angle.

This is a special version of catalog Set Number 1154 WORLD WAR I GERMAN CAVALRY with stahlhelms that John ordered. It is actually an add-on set without an officer.

This is a non-catalog set of ZULU WAR BRITISH STAFF OFFICERS that was ordered by Brian, John, and me.

Bob, Fred, Julian, and I commissioned this set which is now in the catalog as Set No. 1361 SERBIAN INFANTRY, BALKAN WAR, 1912.

This is a special set of Belgian Infantry based on catalog set 1144 French Infantry that I order for me: Set No. 1144 SPECIAL BELGIAN INFANTRY 1916. Stock photo shown since I already incorporated the set into my Hiriart World War I display.

This is a non-catalog set that I ordered for my collection: HUSARES DE VENEZUELA. Bob ordered a double set with 10 figures.

This is a non-catalog set of GRENADIER GUARDS, EGYPT. Randy had actually ordered a different version with white spiked helmets and marching at shoulder arms, so I had to reordered it for him on the next order in 2018. In any case, Bob took this set.
