This morning, I just received a photo of a new non-catalog version of set 1253 WORLD WAR I TURKISH INFANTRY from Hiriart. I am also including a photo of the regular catalog set for comparison purposes.

Nice looking sets, Mike. WW1 is hard to beat for uniform choices as far as the 20th Cen. is concerned. -- Al

Thanks, couldn't agree more, Al. The new Turkish set would be great for Palestine, Mesopotania, etc. while the original version would be for Gallipoli, the Caucases, etc.

Next year, I am planning to order Hiriart special non-catalog sets from the Balkan War. I will do two countries per year, so as not to overwhelm Hiriart with too many specials. I just checked the Osprey book and found that the Ottoman troops wore khaki, in addition to their more familiar blue uniforms, during this conflict and that the figures in the first post look like they could be used for this conflict.
