I'm looking for Hiriart Royal Artillery sets, partial or complete, with earlier version horses cast in pairs. I would also be interested in the similar RHA sets with complete trains. Thanks.

I am not sure what you mean when you refered to earlier version horses cast in pairs. That is how the standard catalog set 1124 RHA Gun Team comes now. In any case, I am scheduled to receive three sets of 1124 with add-ons of a mounted officer and bugler in December direct from Hiriart. One set is for me while the second is for another collector. You can contact me at matara42@roadrunner.com if you are interested in the third set.

There are two other catalog sets of HIRIART Royal Artillery: 1114 Royal Field Artillery Gun Team and 1248 Royal Artillery Gun Team, Colenso, Boer War. I don't have photos of either set, but 1114 is described as wearing all blue uniforms with red trim plus blue helmets and has three side riders and four seated artillerymen on the limber and gun. The gun is a Quick Firing 13 Pounder. Set 1248 is described as wearing all khaki uniforms and helmets with three side riders and three seated on the limber. Here is a photo of a non-catalog set similar to 1248 for India where they are wearing khaki tunics, blue pants with red stripes, and white helmets.

Attached are pictures of the earlier version RA train with the horses cast in pairs. They have a novel vintage toy quality and display quite nicely. Please let me know if you have sets or pieces available for sale.

Kind regards.

John
