There is a special, double, 10 figure set of Hiriart's Spahis Senegalais on eBay. The standard catalog set is 1315 SPAHIS SENGALAIS which I have attached a stock photo of for comparison purposes. I have the catalog set in my collection which is on display on my French Military Parade, 1914 grouping thread.

These are very colorful and unique! Where do you get to purchase Hiriart soldier sets? I can't seem to find a retail source for these anywhere... ^&confuse

How do these compare to William Hocker? I don't have any sets from either company...

I have a large collection of glossy Tradition Napoleonics with a few Tradition sets of ACW and Zulu Wars thrown in. Also, have some Tedtoy ACW and Monarch Reglia samurai sets which are outstanding and several Britains Charge of the Light Brigade Crimea War sets that I bought around 1999 which I like.

It would be nice to add some unique sets to my collection such as these beauts! Would definitely enhance the curio cabinets! :)

I agree that Hiriart's sets are colorful and unique which is why I have about 250 sets in my collection as does Bob Walker. I had the same problem you are refering to regarding how to acquire them, so back in 2005, I started importing them directly from Hiriart in Uruguay both for my personal collection and for re-sale at the West Coaster Toy Soldier Show. Since I starting posting photos of their sets on the Forum, about 20 Forum members have ordered them from me, ranging from just one set for some members to dozens for others.

The good news is that I would be happy to provide some for you, but the bad news is that I only order 120 sets per year from Hiriart and the 2012, 2013, and 2014 orders are already filled up. The 2015 order is not completed yet, but is already up to 80 plus sets. However, I do currently have, in stock, about two dozen sets available for re-sale. Let me know what you are interested in, based on what you have seen on the various Hiriart threads on the Forum. You can contact me directly at matara42@roadrunner.com if you wish.
