HIRIART Spanish Civil War Marina (Navy) Espanol Sets (1 Viewer)

The Hiriart Spanish Civil War catalog has three Marina (Navy) Espanol sets among the 40 various offerings. Set ES-05 INFANTERIA DE MARINA, which has the same title as the corresponding Jose Bueno plate, has uniforms which remind me of the U.S. Marine Corps dress uniform. I do not have this set in my collection, yet.

The second Hiriart Spanish Civil War set is ES-22 MARINA which actually features regular, non-infantry sailors unlike the two other sets. I don't believe the navy played a large part in the war compared to the land forces. Never the less, it is an attractive naval set.

The third and final Hiriart Spanish Civil War marina (navy) catalog set is ES-36 BATALLON EXPEDICIONARIO INFANTERIA MARINA or the Naval Infantry Expeditionary Battalion. It is my favorite of the three sets and I have it in my collection.

This is a very handsome set with the tiny bit of red trim setting off the different khaki shades very nicely. -- Al
