Very smart uniform, nice set of figures Mike! ^&cool

Mike , nice to see Canadian regiments .

It looks like these figures might be Governor General's Foot Guards as opposed to Canadian Grenadier Guards. GGFG have red plumes and CGG have white plumes

Kirk,

I agree that it is nice to see Canadian regiments which aren't seen too often. However, Hiriart has seven different Canadian sets in its' catalog. The problem is, of course, that most Canadian uniforms appear to be very similar to British uniforms. The major exception being the Canadian Mounted Police uniforms. I have a thread under the Hiriart forum on Canadian sets you might want to check out.

Hiriart uses a book called "World Uniforms in Colour, Volume 2" published in 1966 as a source for many of its uniforms. The book has a colored drawing of the Grenadier Guards of Canada on parade in front of the Parliament building. Unfortunately, the view is from the right side, so their plumes are not visible. The text says "Similar to their London colleagues in everything but their regimental badges..." probably led Hiriart to assume that their plumes were red.

Oops, I got my Guards regimental plumes mixed up. The Coldstream Guards have red plumes and the Grenadier Guards have white, so I can't explain the error in the set.
