This is another special commission Hiriart set ordered by John (Jackson). They are WORLD WAR I AUSTRIAN SKI TROOPS and are a variation of catalog set No. 1255 WORLD WAR I AUSTRIAN RIFLES.
Once again very well captured by HIRIART! I love austrian themes. Where are the Bosniacs- prewar and war uniform?????{sm4}
Thank you for shareing.
kind regards

Thanks Wolfgang, you are welcome. There is just a small group of us who do love Austro-Hungarian toy soldiers. In addition to the Austrian Rifles and ski troops, Hiriart has made an Austrian Mountain Artillery set, WWI Austro-Hungarian Hussars in 1914, WWI Austro-Hungarian Dragoons in 1914, and WWII Hungarian Infantry. I have considered ordering a special commission of pre-war Bosnian Infantry from Hiriart, but have not done so yet.
As an aside, I notice you are located in Belgium. I have ordered a special commission from Hiriart of World War I Belgian Infantry in 1916 wearing Adrian helmets on my 2016 order.

Hello Mike,
thank you for your kind reply and appolgies for my "typical" and naive never-getting-enough-remarks
concerning the Bosniacs which of cause wheren' t ment to tease neither you nor HIRIART. I sure do appriciate the variety of sets that where made available by HIRIART so far. I fully agree that they seem to be the only company dealing with such exotic sets like the listed Austro-Hungarian WWI-sets and many many others like SCV etc. It just came to my mind that as far as I can recall only the old austrian producers ever did Bosniacs as TS. So please value my remarks as a loud HURRAH for what you have put up here so far.
I will keep on enjoying the threads you are putting up here and I am sure a lot of fellow collectors feel the same.
Thank you for all your efforts especially in bearing with collectors like me.
Kind regards
Wolfgang
