This is a stock photo of Hiriart's Set 1254 WORLD WAR II FINNISH INFANTRY, 1940. Hiriart makes wide use of "Blandford Military Uniforms of the World in Colour" for the sets it produces. Set 1254 was based on Blandford's colour plate number 476. It mentions that after adopting khaki uniforms in 1927, it reverted to gray uniforms in 1936. The collar patches, which were in the branch color, also carried badges of rank. The shoulder straps were edged in the branch color and carried the branch or regimental badge.
