This is a wonderful manufacturer from Uruguay, with extensive an original ranges, I have seen this figures «in person» and the detail and perfection are just stunning. They have a Hitler and Goering, that look like the real thing, even Goering's fatness is there. I'll now try and post some photos, I think you can enlarge them...

Thanks VIRIATO for introducing some of us to the Hiriart Line along with the photos. I agree with you they've got great detail for Traditional Soldiers. Hope there's more on the way......The Lt.

There is a guy named Buzz that sells Hiriart in the midwest. They are supposedly exclusive dealers except for the other guy. Hiriart toy soldiers are very very nice. Anyone have any French Alpine chassuers for sale?:D

BTW the elephant is very nice!

Dress rehearsal for World War II. One of the more interesting periods in recent history: Spain 1936-1939. I've even got a few bullets from the Jarama battlefield.

Saw my first Hiriart figures at a toy soldier show in Wheaton, IL last fall, shown by Buzz Thorp, of Antioch, IL—a great guy. But he had none I then wanted. Have since bought about 10 sets (including a rare 30-piece band of the Coldtream Guards), all on eBay, first from a divesting collector in Philly, then from Patron Collection in Costa Rica (commissioned figures by Hiriart w/special green boxes, but shipping costly). Also had a 6th dragoon's mounted band commissioned through Patron. Hiriart figures look more "delicate" than Britains, but no flaws & consistent painting. The horses have great eyes! I gather Hiriart began producing about 1980, and unlike Britains, they never change molds/styles. The poses of the horses on their mounted figures is fantastic! I only collect late 1900-early 20th British army parade dress figures, even in the field artillery set. The Patron Collection (Hector Alburquerque) is huge, and what isn't going to a British museum he is now selling. Hiriarts go well mixed in with my Britains. Anyway, I plan to buy more next time I have extra money. :)

Hiriart figures are awesome ! Purchased a set of RMLI from the Patron collection this week, and the detail is stunning ! Full equipment, great faces, out of an old Victorian photo - shipping from Costa Rica is costly, but well worth it -

I Myself Bought A Couple Of Sets At The Cantigny Show In Wheaton Illinois. They Were Great Looking Foriegn Legion Sets. Good Stuff. If Anybody Is Going To Chicago This Year The Museum Of The Big Red One Is At Cantigny Which Is Close By The Ostn Show. They Have Some Nice Life Size Dioramas And Alot Of Armour And Guns Outside.

Dear Sir,

I live in Greece and even I regularly attend the London show, my acces to Hiriart figures is limited. Can you please provide their details (address, tel e.t.c.) so that I can order directly form them?

Kind Regards
A. Barmpagiannis
Greece
