Historical background for K&C's FOB 063??? (1 Viewer)

I just recently obtained a book entitled "World War Two in Photographs". I was just giving it a fast review and I came across a photo where one of the figures really looked familiar! I saw a WW2 photo of an old lady with a cane looking at many U.S. Army troops passing by. This old lady looks exactly like the "Old Lady by the Road" set FOB 063 made by King & Country. Do any of you agree that this lady looks just like the lady miniature K&C figure from set# FOB 063, except that the real lady in the photo does not have a handbag by her feet as does the metal miniature set. I sold off this set a few months back on eBay, but I remember it well. Please see #3 photos below.

Yes, I absolutely agree. The facial expression and pose are very similar.

I thought it was one of the better civilians in the FOB series, so I bought one.
