Only 1 week until HISTORICON 2011 - July 7 - 10th.

Visit website for details.

If you were at the MFCA in Valley Forge this year then you know where Historicon is being held. Same great location.

This always slips up on me! Well worth visiting. Many of the vendors you know from the toy soldier world are represented in the vendor mart, there is also a flea market area (or used to be, when it was still held in Lancaster), and it's very interesting to watch the gaming. All periods are represented, as well as science fiction/fantasy.

One tip that friends gave me is that gamers will often get interested in a particular period, game it for a while, then switch to another period. And when they do, they tend to sell off the reference material that they collected for study in their old favorite period. It's an opportunity for us to find things that we might be looking for.

Be advised, though, those of you who like to complain about paying more than $5 for a toy soldier show, a one-day admission on Saturday costs $25 ($15 if you're a serviceman on active duty).

Still, I find it worth it to visit Historicon, and it's winter version, Cold Wars.

Prost!

Yes they still have a flea market. And you are right about finding excellent reference material and other such items at fantastic prices. You can go to the website and check out the event list of games being run. There are usually some 54mm also.

I too go to Historicon every year. This year I am going to game even longe then in the past- to around midnight! We should pick a "Trefrog" corner so we can all say hi. Also, my mother will have a booth once each day at the flea market selling scenics and 54mm.

I too will be there with two booths full of toy soldiers and wargaming items, this is my second favorite show of the year, OTSN being #1, enjoy the shopping, meeting up with friends for adult beverages and naturally the games.

Hobby Bunker will be there 2 booths of wargaming figures, games, etc. and one booth of Toy Soldiers. Plus books, Mags, etc.

Look forward to seeing some of you at the show!

Historicon is one of those events I've wanted to attend for years simply to shop at the dealers hall and flea market. Next year I pledge. Again.
Have a blast.

Thanks, Walt! The last time I made it to Historicon was the last one held in Lancaster, which is ironic, because K-of-P is a little closer and easier to get to for me. Like I said, the event always seems to slip up on me; I need to mark it on my calendar. Can't make it this time, either, for other commitments.

Prost!
